Gray's Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical - 1897

Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body, commonly shortened to Gray's Anatomy, is an English-language human anatomy textbook widely regarded as a classic work on the subject. Newer editions of Gray's Anatomy (and even several older ones) are still considered to be about the most comprehensive and detailed books of such type on the subject.

The book was first published under the title Gray's Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical in the United Kingdom in 1858, and the following year in the United States. While studying the anatomical effects of infectious diseases, Gray contracted smallpox from his dying nephew and died shortly after the publication of the 1860 second edition, at the age of 34.

This old version of Gray's Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical is offered here and was the 13th edition published in 1897. Of course medical knowledge has exploded over past decades and this 1897 book is certainly not an up-to-date reference. However, the publication has over 770 illustrations and is an amazing 1,257 pages in length.

Text-Book of Anatomy and Physiology For Nurses, -1916, fourth edition written by Diana Kimber in 1919 and is over 500 pages in length with many illustrations.

In this revision the basic importance of physiology, in the training and education of the nurse, has been constantly borne in mind. This subject must form the groundwork for the study of hygiene, dietetics, materia medica, and all pathological conditions, as well as for the intelligent practice of nursing methods. Enough anatomy is given to make the physiology intelligible, for we must understand the plan or organization of the body before we can appreciate its functioning.

Applied Anatomy And Kinesiology: The Mechanism of Muscular Movement ,written by Wilbut Pardon in 1919 and is over 300 pages in length with 197 illustrations.
